All in!

Over the past several weeks, I have spent a lot of time soul-searching about what comes next after retirement.

One thing I have learned is that politics is simply not for me. While I am grateful for the support and encouragement I received along the way, I have realized that I am happiest when I am focused on positive, meaningful work that brings people together rather than divides them.

With that in mind, I have decided that after retirement I will dedicate my time and energy to growing the Unbroken Children’s Foundation and helping children who are facing grief, trauma, and other significant life challenges. I truly believe this foundation has the potential to make a difference in the lives of many young people, and I am excited to see where this journey leads.

I also plan to spend some time at Eastmark Farm, helping my friend Sue with the horses and daily operations. Horses have become an important part of my life, and being able to combine that passion with the mission of the foundation feels like a perfect fit.

For the first time in a long time, I am looking ahead with a sense of excitement and optimism. The future is uncertain, but it is full of opportunity, and I cannot wait to see what this next chapter brings.
